Goodwood Revival 2014 Race Highlights | Fordwater Trophy

The first race of Sunday, the Fordwater Trophy, brought out probably the most diverse field of the weekend. Lee Mumford make a great start in Paul Fox’s 1.5-litre Ginetta G4, initially leading Andrew Smith in a 2.0-litre Porsche 901. Moving up fast on them was Allan Ross-Jones in his Triumph TR4, with battles going on all the way down the field. Ross-Jones used all the torque of the TR to power past the two leaders but Mumford was able to keep him honest to the flag, finishing a scant two seconds behind the winner.
