Willis acclaims groundbreaking ERC Circuit of Ireland

Event director Bobby Willis has acclaimed this year's FIA European Rally Championship Circuit of Ireland as a template for the future, with the rally streaming its own footage from the stages, available on the event website.

As a result, spectators have been able to watch a three-way battle for the lead as it happens - with Eurosport also filming the action, which will be aired during the daily highlights programme.

"Streaming the rally was something that I pushed hard to do, and I really believe that it's the future," said Willis. "Nobody else does what we do. It's been a fantastic event so far, and we've got three drivers going into the final stages who could win the event."

With ERC Rally Radio covering the end of every stage, and now live streaming from the stages, the Circuit of Ireland is one of the most easy-to-follow events that the series has seen, according to Willis.

"Eurosport has done a fantastic job, and with the live streaming, more people than ever have been able to see our event," he concluded.
