After SS4: Tarabus with the ERC leaders in the rain
FIA European Rally Championship regular Jaromír Tarabus has been having a good run on his first start of 2016 on the Circuit of Ireland, and was right with leading pair Craig Breen and Kajetan Kajetanowicz on stage four.
After a dry morning loop, the rain arrived at the start of the afternoon. Breen was quickest through the second run of the 11.87-kilometre Knockboy test in a time of 5m54.2s, 1.1 seconds quicker than Kajetanowicz, extending his lead to 26.1s.
Tarabus was third, just 1.7s away from Breen, giving him a chance of climbing up from the seventh place he held during remote service. His fellow ŠKODA Fabia R5 driver David Bogie was also quick in fourth, looking to move up from 10th overall.
Alastair Fisher continues to hold third, while Fredrik Åhlin has now put a tenth of a second between himself and Martin McCormack in the tight battle for fourth overall (and the British Rally Championship lead) after they were tied following SS3.
