M-Sport boss backs ERC winner Bouffier for success

M-Sport Team Principal Malcolm Wilson has backed FIA European Rally Championship event winner Bryan Bouffier to shine on his two planned appearances in the world series this season.

Bouffier, the winner of the ERC rallies in Poland and Italy in 2017, will form part of the M-Sport line-up in a Ford Fiesta WRC on Rallye Monte-Carlo and Tour de Corse, events he has won previously when they counted for the Intercontinental Rally Challenge and ERC respectively.

"It's great to have Bryan on board for Rallye Monte-Carlo and the Tour de Corse," said Wilson. "When it comes to these events, it's fair to say that his experience is unrivalled. These are two of the most specialised rallies on the calendar and the conditions and tyre selections can so often determine who succeeds. With Bryan's knowledge, we will have another string to our bow as we look to defend our championship titles."

M-Sport won the World Rally Championship for Drivers and Manufacturers in 2017, while its M-Sport Poland arm guided Kajetan Kajetanowicz to a record-breaking third consecutive ERC title in a LOTOS Rally Team Ford Fiesta R5.
