Before ERC Liepāja comes China as Eriksen guides Ma from circuit to stages

Norwegian co-driver Torstein Eriksen will have a busy run-up to his next FIA European Rally Championship appearance on Rally Liepāja as he helps Chinese circuit racing star Ma Qing Hua make his rally debut.

Eriksen is the regular navigator to compatriot Frank Tore Larsen, who made his ERC debut on the Azores Airlines Rallye in June. The pair's Ford Fiesta R5 is run in association with Adapta Motorsport, the family team of Mads Østberg, an ERC guest star on Rally Islas Canarias El Corte Inglés earlier this year.

Eriksen is also part of Østberg's gravel crew on FIA World Rally Championship events, and that link now sees him team up with Ma - an ex-Formula 1 test driver, FIA World Touring Car Championship race-winner and current FIA Formula E racer.

The pair will compete on the WRC's Rally China with Adapta Motorsport, and are already testing together this week.

Rally China takes place just one week before Larsen and Eriksen make their second appearance of the ERC season on Rally Liepāja (16-18 September). Adding to Eriksen's hectic schedule will be an appearance for him and Larsen on Rally Telemark in Norway on 27-28 August.
