The start of the 2018 FIA European Rally Championship season has moved a step closer with the publishing of the Azores Airlines Rallye key timings.
Running from 22-24 March as the ERC's now-traditional curtain raiser, the event is ranked as one of the most spectacular on the international calendar.

The key timings are as follows:
12 February: Entries open, Rally Guide 1 and Supplementary Regulations published
23 February: Entries close (ERC first period)
1 March: Entries close
6 March: Entry list published, Rally Guide 2 issued
19 March: Test (on request)
20 March: Reconnaissance, administrative checks (FIA, ERC, FPAK priority drivers)
21 March: Reconnaissance, scrutineering and administrative checks (for all other drivers)
22 March: Qualifying Stage, start of Leg 1 (section 1)
23 March: Leg 1 (sections 2 and 3)
24 March: Leg 2 (sections 4 and 5)
This year's Azores Airlines Rallye will feature 15 stages over a competitive distance of 207.44 kilometres. The bulk of the action will take place on gravel with some sections on asphalt. Click here to view the full rally programme.
