Teamwork keeps ERC Junior U27 driver Brož on track

Dominik Brož will start the Azores Airlines Rallye and the opening round of the FIA ERC Junior Under 27 Championship this afternoon after several teams joined forces to help him repair a faulty gearbox.

With no spare unit available, the ACCR Czech Team driver was given permission by event stewards to break the seals and open up the gearbox where a broken tooth in the third gear was discovered.

Time shortages meant Brož had to enlist the help of several ERC teams who duly provided assistance to help with the repairs and refitting of the gearbox in time for the opening stage.

"I want to thank all the teams who helped me make this possible," said Brož, whose Peugeot 208 R2 is co-driven by Petr Těšínský.
