Steffi Halm clinches her second win of the year at Slovakia Ring

Steffi Halm in Reinert Racing MAN bagged a victory in the fourth and final race of the season at the new venue on the FIA European Truck Racing Championship calendar - Slovakia Ring.

It was Team Schwabentruck's Gerd Körber in an Iveco who started on pole position, in a race with top eight from the morning race in reversed order, with Sascha Lenz alongside him. But it was Steffi Halm, starting from fourth on the grid, who went around the outside and emerged on top of the pack as they went through the first sequence of corners.

Norbert Kiss went on to complete the podium and he was the one who made the biggest progress in the race, having won race three in his Team Tankpool24 Mercedes-Benz and starting all the way down in eighth place.

Championship leader Adam Lacko brought his Freightliner run by Buggyra International Racing System home in fourth, with Sascha Lenz completing the top five and bagging his best result of the weekend in his SL Sport MAN.

Gerd Körber lost several position over the course of the race but scored another solid haul of points with sixth place overall. A winner yesterday, Antonio Albacete driving Truck Sport Lutz Bernau-run MAN, experienced a tough race and after starting seventh was in eighth place for most of the running, but a late lunge on David Vršecký allowed him to take the place back and finish where he started. Vrsecky, in the second of the Freightliners, ended up eighth in the final results.

Experiencing a weekend of mixed emotions, André Kursim finished ninth overall to take Promoter's Cup honours the second of the Mercedes-Benz truck run by Team Tankpool24. José Rodrigues, another driver with mixed luck here in Slovakia, came second in the cup.

Steffen Faas driving for Team Schwabentruck Iveco was running third in the Promoter's Cup standings until a break failure send him through the gravel in Turn 10 and lead to retirement. As a result, Frankie Vojtisek driving a MAN run by his family Czech Truck Racing Team inherited third in Promoter's Cup and 11th overall.

In the Teams Championship, it was a victory for Reinert Racing with Die Bullen von Iveco Magirus and Team Tankpool 24 Racing completing the podium.

25 000 people attended this weekend's meeting.
