Sauber's 2017 Formula 1 car turns first laps

Sauber's 2017 Formula 1 car, the Ferrari-powered C36, has run for the first time ahead of pre-season testing.

The Swiss outfit offered a look at its new F1 challenger on Monday, and completed a filming day at Barcelona on Wednesday with Marcus Ericsson behind the wheel.

Ericsson's 2017 team-mate Pascal Wehrlein will miss the first test that starts at the Spanish circuit on Monday due to a back injury sustained in last month's Race of Champions event.

Ferrari reserve and 2016 GP2 runner-up Antonio Giovinazzi is expected to stand in.
