Rain no pain for WTCC title chaser Michelisz
Norbert Michelisz wouldn't mind the rain to return when the FIA World Touring Car Championship resumes at WTCC JVCKENWOOD Race of Macau next week.
Rain affected the recent races in China and Japan with the factory Honda star winning in the latter in challenging conditions.
"To be honest I hope for some more rain for the last two races," said the Hungarian world title contender. "I know the chances are not looking grid but with rain we should be competitive, also in the dry. If I could wish for something it would be nice to have one or two rainy sessions for Macau and Qatar but these two places are not the most rainy of places on earth."
Michelisz bagged his maiden WTCC victory at Macau in 2010 and needs more success when the legendary Suncity Group Guia Race rejoins the world championship schedule for the first time since 2014.
