Huff on a high for WTCC Race of Macau

Rob Huff will head to WTCC JVCKENWOOD Race of Macau on a high following his success in the China Touring Car Championship last weekend.

Huff won the first of two races on the Wuhan street track from pole position before charging through from P12 on the grid to take second in race two, a result that has given him the lead of the championship with one event remaining.

"It's been a perfect weekend," said Huff. "The car's been fantastic and I'd like to thank the guys for doing such a great job.

"It was much closer in qualifying this time as some of our rivals have lost some weight, but we still made it, and was able to have a good run to victory in the first race.

"Race two was pretty busy, but Zheng [Zeng Dong] and I worked our way through to give the team another great result.

"I didn't expect to be leading the championship having done less than half a season, but it's a great feeling and shows what such a good job the boys have done with the car in the last few races.

"Four of us go to Shanghai with a chance of winning the championship, which will be very exciting, and also great odds for the Shanghai 333 Racing Volkswagen team at their home race."

Before the Shanghai event on 26 November however, Huff will be bidding for a record-extending ninth Guia Race win when the FIA World Touring Car Championship returns to the streets of Macau for the first time since 2014. Huff will drive his familiar ALL-INKL.COM Münnich Motorsport Citroën C-Elysée.
