Recharged Langeveld counts on testing form for WTCR boost

Niels Langeveld will take confidence from a successful two-day pre-season test at the Slovakia Ring as he bids to get his inaugural campaign in the WTCR – FIA World Touring Car Cup presented by OSCARO firmly back on track.

Langeveld is the only WTCR / OSCARO racer yet to score in 2019 following a frustrating brace of events. But the Comtoyou Team Audi Sport driver is determined to turn his fortunes around at WTCR Race of Slovakia from 10-12 May.

“I had a great two-day test at the Slovakia Ring [pre-season], and with the team we found out why we’ve lacked performance. That’s why I’m going to Slovakia with a very positive feeling.

“Drop a few tenths here and there, and you’re nowhere – even the guys with several touring car titles. Everyone has a hard time in the WTCR, we all have to fight our own corner.

“Hungaroring was not the weekend I had hoped for, so let’s reset and recharge – and then we’ll go for it with renewed spirit.”
