Proud Rally Islas Canarias bosses planning “exciting” route for 2019 ERC

Rally Islas Canarias bosses have welcomed the event's inclusion on the provisional FIA European Rally Championship calendar for 2019, describing it as a "proud" moment.

Pending FIA World Motor Sport Council ratification when it meets in St Petersburg, Russia on 5 December, Rally Islas Canarias will take place from 2-4 May as the second event of the upcoming season.

"We are very proud to be part of the ERC 2019 calendar," a statement from the event organising team read. "Our appointment will be the first weekend of May, for that date we have planned an exciting route and we hope to have an awesome entry. To share the FIA ERC calendar with legendary rallies is a pleasure for all of us and for sure our fans as well."
