Ma caps great WTCR weekend with TAG Heuer Best Lap Trophy

Ma Qinghua completed a dream weekend at WTCR Race of Slovakia by securing the TAG Heuer Best Lap Trophy during his drive to victory in Race 3.

The Chinese driver was made to work hard in his Team Mulsanne Alfa Romeo Giulietta Veloce TCR by BRC Hyundai N Squadra Corse’s Norbert Michelisz, but withstood the pressure – and set the fastest race lap of the weekend along the way.

His time of 2m11.288s eclipsed team-mate Kevin Ceccon’s fastest lap from Race 2. Ceccon, who finished third in both Race 2 and Race 3, managed a time of 2m11.939s.

The fastest lap in Race 1, which was affected by damp conditions, was set by winner Frédéric Vervisch, the Comtoyou Team Audi Sport driver setting a best lap of 2m12.530s.
