Lynk & Co WTCR testing: five things learned

Lynk & Co, the new global urban mobility brand from China, will team up with Cyan Racing for an assault on the WTCR – FIA World Touring Car Cup presented by OSCARO from 2019.

Geely Group Motorsport, the organisation behind the Lynk & Co 03 TCR, has conducted successful tests in Portugal and Sweden. This is what’s known so far.

1: Thed Björk and Yvan Muller, the WTCR OSCARO runner-up, have tested the Lynk & Co 03 TCR at Estoril in Portugal and Mantorp Park in Sweden.

2: According to Alexander Murdzevski Schedvin, Head of Motorsport at Geely Group Motorsport, testing has gone to plan with his organisation happy with progress so far.

3: Indeed, test and race driver Björk has praised Geely Group Motorsport for having “done a great job of development”.

4: Geely Group Motorsport will conduct further testing during the winter.

5: Lynk & Co Cyan Racing isn’t set for a “hectic schedule” prior to the WTCR season opener due to the timing of the delivery of its Lynk & Co 03 TCR race cars.
