Success for ERC drivers on Lausitz Rallye
Albert von Thurn und Taxis and Dominik Brož were among the FIA European Rally Championship regulars to enjoy success on the ADMV Lausitz Rallye in Germany yesterday.
Von Thurn und Taxis, on a rare outing in his homeland finished third in a ŠKODA Fabia R5 with Brož winning the RC4 category for two-wheel-drive machinery in P16 overall alongside regular co-driver Petr Těšínský.
Jānis Vorobjovs, who challenged for ERC2 success on the ERC season-closing Rally Liepāja last month, took the production class honours in seventh. Former ERC regular Jároslav Orsak finished fourth overall.
Meanwhile, Brož's ACCR Czech Team team-mate Filip Mareš retired from the opening leg with a broken driveshaft on his Peugeot 208 R2 but fought back to finish second in the category.
