Points the aim for Filippi in the WTCC

John Filippi has vowed to do all he can to score points at FIA WTCC Race of Argentina in order to make for a happy trip home to his native Corsica.

Filippi was pipped to the Opening Race pole by 0.067s following Yann Ehrlacher's late charge in Qualifying Q2 yesterday evening.

But by lining up in P10 and P11 for today's races, the OSCARO-backed Sébastien Loeb Racing driver is well-placed to add to his consistent scoring tally, which dates back four races.

"If I don't do a good result here I will be very disappointed because it's very far away from my home," said Filippi. "I did the first part of the season not really positive but not really negative so I would like to start the second part of the season well by scoring more points. I am here to be a better driver and I hope this race can be a new start."
