No rest for ERC cars

This is the car driven by Lambros Athanassoulas on the latest round of the FIA European Rally Championship in Greece - but it has already moved onto its next adventure.

Just two days after finishing on the podium at the Acropolis Rally, the ŠKODA Fabia R5 - run by reigning WRC production champions Motorsport Italia - is back testing in Italy.

Still wearing the colours of Athanassoulas, the car is being tested in Umbria by Italian driver Alfredo de Dominicis, preparing for the next gravel round of the Italian Rally Championship: the Rally dell'Adriatico from 27-29 May.

In Greece last weekend, the car driven by Athanassoulas was backed by the Lascaris Foundation: a charity that aims to promote Greek athletes on the international stage. When it appears next in Italy, the same ŠKODA Fabia R5 will wear the colours of another not-for-profit sporting organisation: Uno di Noi, a charity whose goal is to rehabilitate disabled athletes.

Is this the most charitable ŠKODA R5 ever? It would appear so.
