Home WTCC heroes take to the capital
Néstor Girolami and Esteban Guerrieri revved up for this week's FIA WTCC Race of Argentina with an appearance in the capital, Buenos Aires earlier today.
The ace home racers were at the Automóvil Club Argentino's headquarters to promote the World Touring Car Championship's fifth visit the South American country from 14-16 July.
They joined Elvio Colombo, Senior Vice President of Automóvil Club Argentino, Carlos García Remohí, President of the Car Sports Commission, Automóvil Club Argentino, Fernando Gorbarán, President and CEO of race promoter Messe Frankfurt Argentina, Ricardo Sosa, Undersecretary of Tourism of Santiago del Estero and Gustavo Santos, Argentina's Tourism Minister at the event, while François Ribeiro, Head of Eurosport Events, the WTCC promoter, appeared via video conference. A number of media outlets were in attendance.
WTCC Race of Argentina will take place 1250 kilometres to the north of Buenos Aires in Termas de Río Hondo. The event will enjoy extensive live broadcasting across South America and around the world.
