Gryazin vows to up ERC Junior pace in Italy

Nikolay Gryazin plans to build on his Rally Nova Gorica victory by "pushing on every stage" when the FIA ERC Junior Under 28 Championship resumes on Rally di Roma Capitale from 14-17 September.

Gryazin adopted a more measured approach on Barum Czech Rally Zlín following a handful of non-finishes. And the change of strategy paid dividends when he landed a class podium in Czech Republic in his Sports Racing Technologies ŠKODA.

But after winning every stage on Rally Nova Gorica, a warm-up event in Slovenia last weekend, Gryazin is ready to push again.

"We won Rally Nova Gorica in Slovenia last weekend and this has given us good confidence to push on every stage in Rome but I don't know about the result, I only try to push," said the Russian teenager. "The testing for this event was in dry conditions but I don't know what it will be like if it rains because there is a chance it will rain at the weekend. I hope it will be good."
