Fulín thanks team for maintaining ETCC title bid

Petr Fulín has publically thanked his Křenek Motorsport team for the work it did to keep his FIA European Touring Car Cup title bid on course.

Points leader Fulín was forced to retire from Race 1 at Zolder on Sunday after he was struck down again by mechanical problems having already missed qualifying due to a gearbox glitch.

However, with his SEAT repaired for Race 2, Fulín was able to claim third place to take a six-point lead into ETCC Race of Most - his home event - from 6-8 October.

"I would like to thank my team, because despite what happened to me and my car, they did a good job," he said. "I didn't expect I would be here in the second race."
