Flashback: Last time out at Lydden Hill

Round four of the FIA World Rallycross Championship presented by Monster Energy takes place this weekend at the home of rallycross, Lydden Hill in the UK. Here, we take a look back at the 2015 World RX round at Lydden.

The result was decided on the last lap of the final, championship leader Petter Solberg taking his second win of the year in a nail-biting finale, beating Sweden's Mattias Ekstrom by three tenths of a second as the pair crossed the finish line.

Ekstrom and Solberg had both won their semi-finals to qualify for the front row of the final. Starting on the inside, Solberg stayed on the main circuit on the first lap while Ekstrom took his joker. As the EKS driver hunted down those ahead and climbed to second, Solberg took his joker on the sixth and final lap, returning to the main circuit side-by-side with Ekstrom in a dramatic end to the event.

Johan Kristoffersson finished on the podium in third place while also celebrating the birth of his first son over the weekend. OlsbergsMSE team mates Andreas Bakkerud and Reinis Nitiss finished fourth and fifth, the Swedish team taking the lead of the teams' championship in the process.

Former Junior World Rally Championship driver Guy Wilks made his rallycross debut at the event and came out on top of a close race with Peugeot-Hansen's Davy Jeanney in the semi-finals to make it to the final, but retired with a puncture, picked up on the opening lap.

Having finished on the podium a year earlier on his return to the sport, Andrew Jordan made a one-off appearance for Team Peugeot-Hansen and set the fastest time in Q3 to make the semi-finals but didn't make it into the final.

Sweden's Alx Danielsson set competitive times on the opening day of the event in the ALL-INKL.COM Audi S3, but rolled the car in Sunday morning warm-up and retired.
