ETCC announces inaugural Season Preview Day

The FIA European Touring Car Cup is stepping up another gear in 2017 with confirmation of the inaugural ETCC Season Preview Day.

Scheduled for Tuesday 18 April at Autodrom Most in Czech Republic, the event will offer registered ETCC drivers and teams substantial track time ahead of the new campaign as well as giving those with no prior experience of the circuit - a new addition to the ETCC calendar for 2017 - the chance to sample the exciting 4.212-kilometre layout.

Test sessions will take place from 09h00-13h00 and from 14h00-18h00. The cost per car is a vey attractive 200 euros including tax and access to a pit garage.

Media are also welcome on the day and further details of activities, including one-to-one interview opportunities with ETCC drivers, will be provided in the New Year.

Eric Nève of ETCC promoter Eurosport Events said: "The ETCC Season Preview Day at Most not only offers several benefits but is another example of the increased profile of the series and a continuing rise in standards. By scheduling the event two weeks ahead of the season-opening ETCC Race of Monza from 28-30 April, we're giving drivers and teams a great opportunity to complete their preparations for the new campaign with plenty of track time available at a very reasonable 200 euros per car including tax. We're also giving them the chance to devise set-up options ahead of ETCC Race of Most in October, while providing media with a chance to interview ETCC drivers and teams and prepare material looking ahead of the new season."

Located an hour north of the Czech capital Prague and an hour south from the German city of Dresden, Autodrom Most will host the European Touring Car Cup for the first time in 2017 when it stages the season-closing rounds from 6-8 October as part of the circuit's ambitions for long-term growth and prosperity.

Perhaps most famous for hosting a round of the FIA European Truck Racing Championship, Most opened in 1983 following four years under construction and gave Czech Republic its first permanent track with rival venue Brno still a road circuit at that stage.
