ERC3 champion gets WRC chance at home

Chris Ingram, who was ERC3 champion this year and runner-up to Marijan Griebel in ERC Junior, will compete on his home round of the World Rally Championship this weekend when he drives a Vauxhall Adam R2 on Wales Rally GB.

The Vauxhall Adam is identical to the Opel Adam Ingram has driven this year in the FIA European Rally Championship, with his strong performances earning him the deal with the Vauxhall Junior Team for the all-gravel event.

Ingram will be looking to win the RC4 class on Wales Rally GB for the third time, after victories in 2013 and 2014.

"The car is exactly the same specification as I've been using on the ERC," said Ingram. "In Latvia, Griebel and I were joint leaders, so the gravel pace is there."
