ERC Junior Kasperczyk is Polish runner-up

Tomasz Kasperczyk, a regular in the inaugural FIA ERC Junior Under 28 Championship, has been on fine form in the Polish title race this season.

Although Filip Nivette took the crown for the first time, by winning the season-closing Rajd Slaska - his maiden victory in his homeland - Kasperczyk beat Zbigniew Gabrys to the runner-up spot in an exciting final-round decider.

In an impressive campaign, the Tiger Energy Drink Rally Team driver scored points in all rounds in his Ford Fiesta R5 and was a podium visitor on four of six events.

"I am very proud after we clinched this success," said Tomek. "We worked hard for a few years to achieve this. To be honest, five years ago I did not know much about rallying and now I stand on the second spot in Polish Rally Championship. Here, in Silesia we took our maiden victory, so the feelings from the finish ceremony will not be forgotten."
