ERC Junior Gryazin displays impressive French rally speed
Nikolay Gryazin made a lasting impression when he warmed up for next month's Rally Rzeszow - the eagerly anticipated upcoming round of his FIA ERC Junior Under 28 Championship title fight - in France last weekend.
The Russian teenager was fifth overall on Rallye Aveyron Rouergue-Occitanie, having clocked the first of seven top-three stage times, when a puncture dropped him back to P22.
Co-driven by Yaroslav Fedorov in a Sports Racing Technologies ŠKODA Fabia R5, Gryazin fought back to finish seventh and earn the rally's prize for the best jump in the process. Factory Hyundai world championship driver Hayden Paddon finished second to Yoann Bonato.
Rally Rzeszow, run entirely on asphalt stages in Poland, takes place from 3-5 August.
