ERC Junior Experience graduates to use recce knowledge for Rome ‘debuts’
Laurent Pellier and Mārtiņš Sesks will use knowledge gained from taking part in the ERC Junior Experience in 2017 when they contest Rally di Roma Capitale from 20-22 July.
Pellier, who competes for the PEUGEOT Rally Academy in the FIA ERC Junior Under 28 Championship, and Sesks, a competitor in the Pirelli-supported ERC Junior Under 27 Championship, took part on the recce for the Italian asphalt event in 2017 when they were enrolled in the ERC Junior experience training programme.
"As I have visited the Rally di Roma Capitale for recce during the ERC Junior Experience last year, I know at least roughly what to expect," said Sesks, part of the ADAC Opel Rallye Junior Team (pictured).
Frenchman Pellier said: "Because I took part in the ERC Junior Experience, I've had the opportunity to discover the environment and the stages which I think is a real advantage. Let's see how I can use it and turn it into a result."
The ERC Junior Experience training programme is accessible to all ERC Junior Under 27 Championship participants plus other drivers and co-drivers aiming to take the step up from national to international level. The next session take place during the Barum Czech Rally Zlín weekend in August.
