Csucsu to EuroRX with OTS Racing

Hungary's "Csucsu" will race a Skoda Fabia Supercar in the FIA European Rallycross Championship this season, built and run by Belgian team OTS Racing.

CsuCsu raced a Kia Rio in World RX last season but will increase his focus on testing between events while racing in the five-round Euro RX Championship this year. "I'm really happy with this decision, we're planning a really good year with a lot of testing, I missed out on that last year. The car is brand new and based on a Skoda Fabia R5.

It's clear that the Fabia is the best R5 yet, so I believe the car can be competitive and my team has a lot of experience of building a good car. We hope to test soon because it is brand new and we need to test a lot before the first race to solve any problems and make a good setup," he said. "I spoke to a lot of teams and I need to say, everybody was really friendly, I felt good with every team. OTS team owner Marcel Ottink contacted me with his plans and what car he is building, I travelled there as fast as I could and we decided that we would work together in just one hour."

The former rally driver's best race of the 2017 campaign was at the first round in Barcelona, but he is looking forward to racing at every circuit on the Euro RX calendar this season and will also race elsewhere to help him stay sharp. "I have a Renault Twingo Super1600 so I would like to drive it in some national races if I have some free time, and we are planning some rally races too. My favourite track is Holjes for sure but I like to race everywhere. Last year I told everybody my hopes and it didn't come true, so this year it is a secret."
