Cid braced for another ERC Junior challenge in Ypres
Marco Cid is expecting another challenging event on this week's Kenotek Ypres Rally - but accepts that's just how it should be in the ERC Junior Championship.
The reigning Portuguese two-wheel drive champion currently sits fifth in the ERC Junior standings as the top rookie after a consistent showing across the opening two rounds.
He said: "For a rookie, all ERC Junior rallies are complicated because the six events that were chosen are the most unique to test our capabilities. It's fair.
"I followed the Ypres Rally last year and the difficulty is to know where to put the wheels and where there are ‘traps' under the grass. I know there are many intersections and they all look the same but in Ireland it was also like that and it went well. I hope we can raise the pace a bit and reach the end without problems."
