Cerqui in Monza WTCC return

Italian racer Alberto Cerqui is returning to the FIA World Touring Car Championship with ROAL Motorsport.

However, Cerqui won't be racing for the team but carrying out systems and set-up checks on Tom Coronel's Chevrolet RML Cruze TC1 instead.

Clashing commitments are preventing Coronel from getting to Monza until this afternoon, prompting ROAL to call on Cerqui, who races for the Italian team in GTs, to carry out essential preparation work ahead of Coronel's arrival.

Cerqui took part in 22 of the 24 WTCC races run in 2012, scoring a best result of fourth in Slovakia for the ROAL team.
